Today we inaugurate our section of makeup tips directly from professional makeup artists for all makeup fans. Cantoni has been working alongside these professionals for over 30 years providing the equipment for their work, in particular the mirrors with I-light, developed especially for makeup.
We asked three professional makeup artists this question: how to enhance green eyes at 50?
SARAH MANCINI – ANTIAGE MAKEUP ARTIST
Creator of the first Italian anti-aging makeup program
Every woman is unique and therefore every anti-ageing makeup is unique.
We dispel the myth that all green eyes are the same; in fact, even if they categorized in the same way, they can be very different from each other. There are lighter greens, darker greens, warm greens, cold greens, soft greens and bright greens not to mention all those shades that can intervene by turning the irises to hazelnut, gray, blue. These details make the difference in the choice of colors to use to enhance them.
However, we are talking about a woman of fifty years and so first of all I certainly suggest a special attention to the skin care of the eye contour, which will allow you to open your eyes to keep it relaxed, bright and fresh. Starting from the daily use of a good serum and eye contour, applied with delicate circular movements rotating from the outside to the inside. This will allow the skin to be more relaxed and drained.
If I generalized I could say that the shadows that enhance the color of the green eyes, wronging many of the greens that I listed earlier, are all those shades that turn from pink or purple more or less intense. Even a medium dark brown eyeshadow with a hint of purple inside can enhance a certain type of dark and cold green.
Some clarification must be made, in addition to taking into account the shades of the various greens, it is necessary to consider the personality factor that is expressed through the style of the Makeup Anti-age that chooses the woman. For example, two women both green-eyed and both 50 years old, one with a predominant romantic style, the other with a predominant dramatic style, will certainly not opt for the same shade. The first one would recommend a shade of pink, the second one a shade on the shades of purple.
That is why it is essential before suggesting the perfect colors of makeup to perform a full-round study on the beauty of that woman, on her style, on her comfort and lifestyle needs taking into account the needs and desires. Only in this way, the anti-aging makeup will be perfectly in harmony with the woman herself who uses it every day as her ideal beauty tool.

Over 50 years, the shape of the eyes changes and requires a different makeup.
My advice is to favor a medium matte brown eyeshadow, on the outer third of the eyelid and to shade it slightly towards the arch, to enhance the look. I would then apply a lighter shade, matte or iridescent on shades of beige, pink or white on the remaining two-thirds of the movable eyelid, from the inside corner to the outside, without crushing the brown, to make room for the movable eyelid. If necessary, I would add a line of black along the upper lashes and a slight line of brown lower lashes always on the outer third of the eyelid to lengthen the eye. You can add a stretch of white or beige pencil in the mucosa, to brighten and relax the look. I would like to finish with a generous mascara.

After a very traditional career path of several years in the company, I wanted to change direction to return to my first love: make-up. After professional training on make-up, I decided to create my own business. After 5 years of working in make-up, the desire to share my human values and my knowledge took precedence over ease. It is therefore with great ambition that I created the brand new professional make-up school Wake-Up Studio

Enhancement in makeup means giving importance to those elements that capture the attention of those who look and observe.
Regarding your question, valorizing green eyes after 50 years implies using the anti-ageing makeup technique that provides as a first step a moisturizing and plumping treatment on the client’s skin, followed by the anti-ageing makeup technique lift-up. Since the eye makeup over 50 must focus everything on brightness and freshness. There are some complementary shades to highlighting green eyes. In addition to the white and black colors that adapt to irises of any color, in my opinion the colors plum, purple, lavender and pink are perfect choices. For warmer shades, you can opt for beige, khaki or even brown colors. Finally, it is necessary to define with a soft black pencil the upper lash rhyme both inner and outer and finally the addition in my opinion of fake eyelashes on the movable eyelid gives a fresh and precisely lift-up effect.
